In 1995 I photographed this building with no idea of the history behind it. The photo was taken simply because the building was there. It
was obvious that it was some sort of business and not a home nor did it look like it had ever been a home. When I returned in 2002 there
was no evidence that it ever stood there. It was the last to be built and the last to be demolished.

Considered to be the oldest house in Chicago the Clark house has beem moved several times. It appears to be much smaller from the
outside than it does from the inside
